Rotlex was proud to participate in EFCLIN 2026, joining professionals from across the ophthalmic industry for several days of discussions, collaboration, and technology exchange.

EFCLIN continues to serve as an important meeting point for companies involved in contact lenses, intraocular lenses (IOLs), ophthalmic manufacturing, and quality assurance technologies. For Rotlex, the event provided an opportunity not only to present our measurement and quality control solutions, but also to better understand the challenges and priorities currently shaping the industry.

Throughout the exhibition, we had the opportunity to meet manufacturers, engineers, researchers, and quality teams working across different stages of ophthalmic production. Many of the conversations focused on topics that continue to gain importance across the market, including process consistency, production efficiency, data traceability, and precision measurement for increasingly advanced optical designs.

As ophthalmic technologies continue to evolve, manufacturers are placing greater emphasis on reliable quality control and standardized measurement processes. These discussions closely align with Rotlex’s ongoing focus on optical metrology solutions designed to support both R&D and high-volume manufacturing environments.

Beyond the technology itself, EFCLIN remains valuable because it brings together people from across the industry to share real production experiences, technical challenges, and practical insights from the manufacturing floor.

It was also great to have members of the Rotlex team on site, including Eyal Harel, VP Operations, and Raanan Bavli, Ph.D., VP R&D, taking part in discussions with customers, partners, and industry professionals throughout the event.

We would like to thank everyone who visited the Rotlex booth and took the time to meet with us during the exhibition.

For those who did not have the opportunity to connect with us at EFCLIN 2026, more information about Rotlex and our ophthalmic metrology solutions is available at:

Why Toric IOL Verification Is More Complex Than Monofocal

Discover why toric IOL verification is fundamentally more complex than monofocal. Toric lenses require verifying spherical power, cylinder power, and axis orientation—a 3D measurement challenge that breaks rotational symmetry. Essential for R&D engineers understanding toric verification complexity.

The Process Engineer’s Daily Workflow in IOL Manufacturing

A premium IOL production line runs every minute of every shift, and the process engineer who keeps it in control faces a constant tension: the work that prevents problems competes for time with the work that responds to problems already happening.

Understanding Process Drift in Premium IOL Production

Most catastrophic quality events on a premium IOL line do not arrive suddenly. They arrive gradually, as process drift – a slow, systematic movement of the process away from its centered, in-control state.
