The system compensates for in-liquid measurements by applying conversion algorithms based on ISO 11979-2 corneal models. Additionally, it uses physical corneas to replicate in-vivo refraction, allowing users to measure IOLs in water, saline, or air with high correlation to actual implantation conditions.
Yes. It is capable of evaluating single vision, aspheric, bifocal, trifocal, segmented multifocal, toric, EDOF, and accommodative IOLs—covering both refractive and diffractive technologies. Its system automatically detects axis and performs MTF and power analysis even on the most complex lens architectures.
Using its advanced optical correction system and wavefront analysis, the IOLA 4C identifies and quantifies LSA (3rd order spherical aberration). It visualizes how different zones of the lens focus light inconsistently and enables R\&D teams to optimize depth of focus and reduce image blur.
Yes. IOLA 4C comes with four interchangeable physical corneas, including ISO Model Eyes 1 & 2, aspheric corneas, and spherical aberration-free corneas. The system lets users select the appropriate cornea for each test, or load custom-designed corneas for specific simulations.
It supports an exceptionally wide power range from 120D to +160D, and cylinder up to 30D. Accuracy is 0.04D (plus 0.25% for high powers), and lateral resolution is 8µm—making it suitable for high-magnification lenses and toric accuracy validation.
All measurements are stored automatically and exported in TXT, Excel, or customized reports. The system includes API integration for LMS, local databases, and external quality control tools. It is CFR21-compliant for regulated environments.
While the IOLA 4C is designed for clinical-level precision and advanced optical analysis using physical ISO-compliant corneas, the IOLA MP was specifically developed for mass production environments. It enables fully automated testing of up to 50 dry IOLs or 12 wet IOLs in one cycle, without the need to manually load or position each lens.
